Regional Resource Center for Asia and the Pacific (RRC.AP)

Responding to the growing demands for capacity building to support the environment community at large, the Executive Director of United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) together with the President of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) had established the AIT-UNEP Regional Resource Center for Asia and the Pacific (RRC.AP) in 1989.

RRC.AP aims to be the key resource of technical support with capacity building and informed decision making for UNEP's MTS priorities and implementation program in Asia and the Pacific, with the Bali Strategic Plan (BSP) mandate for Technology Support and Capacity Building. The specific objective of RRC.AP is to assist UNEP and the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific with the delivery of UNEP's Medium Term Strategy (MTS 2010-13) as well as AIT and its Strategy 2010-2013.
