Fisheries related stories regularly make the newspapers in Cambodia. FACT monitors the English language newspapers the Cambodia Daily, and the Phnom Penh Post, and the Khmer language newspapers i-focus, the Millennium, Koh Sontepheap, Raksmey Kampuchea daily, and Sahaksawatthmey Daily, for stories relevant to fisheries. Original copies of the newspapers are archived at the FACT library, which holds a wide range of literature related to fisheries and is available for public use by appointment. A summary list of headlines categorized by date since January 2004 is available can be viewed in this database.

FACT's 'Newspaper Paper Monitor' magazine is available in English and Khmer for the months (January 2004 to December 2005) and provides more detail on fisheries articles published in Cambodia. The aim of the 'Newspaper Monitor' is to raise broad awareness about reported fisheries and related issues amongst stakeholders ranging from government decision makers to communities. 'Newspaper Monitor' will also act as a useful tool for researchers, covering information reported in both the major English and Khmer language newspapers.
