Objectives

  • Introduce the SOS project: Present the design of the SOS project, including the objective, scope, activities, expected outputs and outcomes, and work plan.  
  • Understand regional and community priorities: Gain insights into the regional and community needs for managing and operating water storage systems. 
  • Promote gender equality and inclusivity: Develop a comprehensive understanding of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion within water storage management practices.

Onsite meeting at MJ The Majestic Hotel, Sakhon Nakhon Province, Thailand  

Participants

70-80 participants from key agencies and boundary partners from Thailand and Lao PDR, including: 

  • Policymakers  
  • Government officers (water, energy, agriculture sectors at provincial and national level) 
  • Dam operators  
  • Academic institutes/ Researchers 
  • Local community representatives 
  • Local CSO representatives  
  • Disability and Women's Unions/ Associates  
  • Media representatives
