Phan Thanh is a researcher at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) and a Ph.D. candidate in human rights and peace at Mahidol University. Some of her research publications focus on the right to access land, the right to live in a healthy environment; the right to water, and climate change adaptation from a gender perspective.
As a researcher, she got experience working on several research projects for both NGOs and Government that have sharpened her knowledge and activities at the local and policymaking level. She also was given opportunities to study and gain more knowledge of social sciences with leading scholars in the region and in the world, as well as to build up networking among scholars and practitioners in development studies.
Her working experience in SUMERNET program in 2021 varied from conducting research, writing blogs, and supporting the water team to facilitating training and events with partners.
