Nguyen Thi Hoang Nguyen

Nguyen Nguyen is currently SUMERNET’s fellow supporting the communications component.

She has six years of experience in mass media and journalism. Prior to joining SUMERNET Fellowship Scheme, she was a TV reporter for FBNC in Ho Chi Minh City where she wrote and produced daily news and in-depth reports for the channel’s prime time newscast. Later, Nguyen joined Viet Nam News newspaper as a journalist and covered economic and environmental news for the daily. Her areas of interest include agricultural and rural development, climate change, micro-finance and sustainable development. In 2019, she co-wrote and produced a short film for SNV Vietnam’s Mangroves and Markets: Scaling up Ecosystem-Based Adaptation Project.

Nguyen holds a bachelor degree in English Linguistics and Literature from HCM City-Vietnam National University. In her spare time, she likes to take photos, watch volleyball and make new veggie recipes and cocktails.
