Manh Cuong Nguyen

Cuong Nguyen is a SUMERNET PLUS Fellow from Vietname. He is working under component 1: engendering solutions. His main responsibility is to support the implementation of innovative, evidence-based solutions that address priority challenges identified by boundary partners.

Before joining SUMERNET, Cuong worked at New Energy Nexus Vietnam. He is a clean energy and climate tech innovation ecosystem enthusiast, committed to accelerating the green transition through entrepreneur support and talent development. He has a proven track record in program management, specifically in designing and executing Startup Accelerator programs that enhance startup capacity through tailored coaching, while driving investment and commercial readiness through corporate and investor matchmaking. Additionally, Cuong has successfully led national-scale green talent initiatives that nurture the next generation of climate leaders through project funding, regional study trips, and high-quality internships. Cuong also spearheaded the agenda design for the Climate Tech Showcase 2025, bringing together nearly 500 attendees from leading organizations such as DFAT, IFC, GIZ, and various impact investors. Before joining NEXVN, he led the conference production of The Future Energy Show Vietnam - one of the largest renewable energy conferences and exhibitions in Vietnam, attracting over 3,000 attendees annually.

Cuong holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
