Nilar works on agricultural research such as “Promoting the floating rice-based agro-ecological farming systems for a healthy society and adaptation to climate changes in the Lower Mekong Region and Myanmar” together with Australian National University, Vietnam and Cambodia. She also works as a consultant on other projects such as “Trends in agriculture technology adoption focused on Hinthada & Maubin townships and “Perceptions of benefits and costs of seasonal flooding & flood management needs selected townships in Ayewarwady.
As her work focused on Ayeyarwady Region in Myanmar, the experiences gained from these projects, she is motivated to apply for SUMERNET SC position to contribute insights in SUMERNET activities concerned with adaptions and resilience of climate change in Myanmar.
