Prof. Kim Oanh obtained a Dipl. Eng. in Meteorology from the Odessa Hydro-Meteorological Institute, Ukraine; and M. Eng. and Dr. Eng. in EEM from AIT. Prof. Kim Oanh works have been published in well-regarded journals, including Science, Environmental Science & Technology, Atmospheric Environment, etc. (detail at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Nguyen_Thi_Oanh). Her research interests include air pollution engineering and management (emission inventory, modeling, monitoring for emission sources and ambient air, and exposure assessment), climate and air quality co-benefit, and industrial environment management. At AIT, she developed and successfully lead a new Area of Specialization of “Air Pollution Engineering and Management” within EEM/SERD. Prof. Kim Oanh mentored and graduated 12 Ph.D and over 140 master students at AIT as of 2015. Being the Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI of over 35 research network projects sponsored by international donors, She has collaborated successfully with colleagues from Asia, Europe, and USA. Her professional goal is to tackle local/regional air quality issues in the global context, using diversified tools, to create meaningful impacts on policy making for the cleaner air goal.
