SUMERNET is hosting an online training on writing research articles on 16th November, 9.30 am to 11.30 am (Bangkok time).

Phan Thanh By Phan Thanh - Nov 14, 2021

Research writing is hard, even harder to get your article into an English language international high-ranking journal. If you have struggled with how to make this happen as effectively and efficiently as possible, join us for this 2-hour training by SUMERNET 4 All.

To secure your seat, please register yourself at https://bit.ly/SNWritingWorkshop on or before 15th November 2021.

Who will find it useful?

The training is focusing on the needs of the SUMERNET Youth Network but is open to everybody. This workshop will provide you with some important tips for writing a journal article that will make delivering your next research article faster and easier.

Five easy steps

The 1st step: knowing about your audience will focus on how to find the best options of journals for your article publication.

The 2nd step: planning your research article will focus on how to develop your research design which is useful for writing your article.

The 3rd step: structuring your storyline will focus on how to make use of your data to create a compelling and convincing story.

The 4th step: highlighting your contribution will focus on how to identify your value added to the academic world from your article.

The 5th step: editing your final article will focus on how to edit and proofread your article before the submission.

The training will be delivered by Dr. Leonie Pearson, our SUMERNET Coordinator on Research for Policy and Practice. She brings her wide experience as an editor and Board member of the high-ranking international Journal on Ecological Economics and  reviewer for numerous journals as well as an author of over 30 journal articles.

To make the most of this training, we encourage you to kindly bring a draft of your recent research article, some questions about writing skills and the key challenges you want to overcome.
