Parichat Pinsri

Parichat is a Research Associate at SEI Asia. She started as an intern at SEI in July 2021 under the Water Resources Management Cluster then worked as a Project Assistant until January 2024, when she began as a Research Associate.

Parichat’s research interests include groundwater management, transboundary water resource management, climate change impacts and adaptation, agriculture, the environment, decision-support tools, and capacity building.

She is proficient in a variety of decision support tools for hydrological modelling, land use change modelling, and GIS analysis, including WEAP, SWAT, MODFLOW, QGIS, ArcGIS, Dyna-CLUE, Python, and R.

Parichat recent works focused on capacity development on the use of decision-support tools for the Department of Water Resources in Thailand which resulted in the coproduction of the WEAP Mae Klong River Basin model, reflecting the current state of the basin.

Parichat holds an MSc in Water Engineering and Management and a BE in Civil Engineering. Her master’s thesis looks at how changes in land use, climate, and rising water demand affect groundwater resources in the Tak Special Economic Zone in Thailand.
