About the book
This volume brings together a new set of multi-country empirical case studies that contribute to the understanding the complexities of development and resource governance in the context of climate change in the Mekong Region. The chapters identify lessons for engaging with policy and planning process in the region in ways that support pursuit of regional sustainability from the research efforts of the Sustainable Mekong Research Network (SUMERNET).
This volume will help readers better understand the range and intensity of these environmental issues including the impacts of climate change and help support solutions at local, national and transboundary levels towards addressing these critical environmental and development challenges in the Mekong Region.
Each study involved seeking the input and involvement of actors at all levels, from individual farmers, fishers and rural households to policymakers and government administrators, the private sector and nongovernmental organizations, and local academic experts.
