Compilation of SUMERNET Online Trainings from 2020

In 2020, capacity building for SUMERNET went online due to COVID-19 restrictions. We have compiled all these trainings in one place for easy accessibility.

In 2020, to overcome the COVID-19 restrictions (limited travels and physical gatherings) and for the capacity building of our partners and staff, SUMERNET secretariat organized eight virtual online trainings on the wide range of topics (Gender and Social Equity, Conflict sensitivity, Research, Communications, Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation).

Online events have an advantage which allows SUMERNET to reach wider audiences which are normally difficult to reach in usual face-to-face training. Another benefit of organizing events online is the possibility to record the online events/trainings and disseminate the recordings for even wider audiences, including those who cannot join online trainings lively.

By organizing the online trainings, SUMERNET now has collected and maintained a playlist of recorded training on Youtube, for viewing by project grantees, boundary partners and anyone interested.

Please see the recorded training videos as below.

SUMERNET secretariat will keep organizing online trainings and other events in the future to allow a wide group of stakeholders including young researchers, partner members and staff to participate and benefit from the discussions and shared ideas.
